Eyes, Face & Mouth
Stare at any piece of grained wood or any randomly patterned object and the commonest picture that will emerge is that of a face. Sometimes lopsided, sometimes sinister and at other times laughing the basic face pattern is one that we instinctively recognise. Play with any young baby and you will find that they are often more fascinated with faces than with their toys.
Possibly because of this fascination with faces, when we look after ourselves we tend to take extra care of our faces and particularly of our eyes and mouths. Whether choosing the right razor and after shave gel or the perfect cleanser and make up; we tend to take that extra bit of care with helping our faces to look good.
Unfortunately, sometimes our faces need an extra little bit of care. Tired eyes need refreshing and Optrex refreshing eye drops are there to help. Optrex is also good for soothing the itchiness caused by allergies including hay fever. With the same PH balance as tears, Optrex will gently refresh without stinging. Removing eye makeup with a good cleanser such as Simple purifying cleansing lotion will also help to prevent old eye shadow from irritating eyes.
Moving from dry eyes to dry mouths, Biotene Saliva replacement gel can help to bring long lasting relief for those suffering from a dry mouth. Lasting for up to 5 hours, Biotene will help to ensure a good night’s sleep leaving you more rested for the daily round. Mouth ulcers should be treated as soon as possible with Bongela Gel.
No matter how much water you drink and how careful the diet, from time to time spots and blocked pores can bring on skin blemishes. Although products such as Rimmel Hide the Blemish concealer will mask the problem, your face will also need some extra cleansing care. Cleansing products from skin specialists such as Clean & Clear, Clearasil and Simple will gently clean and open blocked pores and help the skin to recover.
It is when our lips become sore or cracked that we can have the greatest problems. With eating, drinking and even talking a problem, if lips hurt we need solutions fast. Cold sores are swiftly treated with products such as Zovirax or Cymex both of which can start to work as soon as you feel the first tingle of a cold sore forming.
Ordinary sore and cracked lips are taken care of with Vaseline lip therapy or Lypsil lip balm. Use lip moisturisers before going out, particularly on windy days or in the sun or sea. Sun and wind can quickly dry lips. Keeping lips soothed and moisturised will help to keep them in good condition and ready for making up with lipsticks and lip glosses
