How does antiperspirant work?

Antiperspirant works by stopping the sweat from reaching the surface of the skin. It reduces those nasty wet patches that form under your arm which look unsightly and then start to smell.

The difference between deodorant and antiperspirant

People often use the terms antiperspirant and deodorant interchangeably but there is a big difference. As mentioned above the antiperspirants attempt to STOP the sweat from forming in the first place. Deodorants on the other hand attempt to conceal the unpleasant smell of the sweat by masking the smell of the sweat once it has formed under the armpit.

Why do we sweat?
